Whole Foods Market Sells Roots of Development Tote Bags

Whole Foods Market Sells Roots of Development Tote Bags

Roots of Development and Whole Foods Market® have teamed up to support community empowerment projects in Haiti with “Empower Haiti” reusable tote bags, now available at participating Whole Foods locations in the Washington metropolitan area. Now you can show your support for Roots and contribute to our success in Haiti while you shop!

The tote bags cost $2.99 each, with $1.99 of each purchase going to support our partners’ projects in Haiti with the other dollar covering the cost of production. The proceeds will help establish several community businesses that will create jobs and help local community groups raise revenue.  These businesses include a local women’s group’s wholesale food business and another group’s block-making business.

“Empower Haiti” bags are now available at the following Whole Foods stores in:

DC: Georgetown, Foggy Bottom, P Street, and Tenley Circle

Maryland: Baltimore, Bethesda, Rockville, and Silver Spring

Virginia: Arlington, Falls Church, Old Town Alexandria, Springfield, and Vienna
